Exploring Art Through Time: Cathedral Students at the Shifting Visions Exhibition

Students School

A group of enthusiastic Std 7 students embarked on an enriching artistic journey at Shifting Visions: Teaching Modern Art at the Bombay School, an exhibition in collaboration with the J. J. School of Art.

Guided by expert curators from DAG, students explored the evolution of art education in colonial India and its lasting influence on contemporary artistic practices. Walking through the historic campus, they gained a deeper understanding of how drawing, painting, and crafts were taught over the years.

The experience was made even more immersive with hands-on activities, where students experimented with traditional sketching and drawing techniques practiced by artists at the School. It was an inspiring day of learning, creativity, and artistic discovery!
