Our Leadership
The Cathedral and John Connon School is led by a dedicated team committed to upholding the school’s legacy of excellence and guiding its evolution in a rapidly changing world. This leadership team combines expertise in education with a forward-thinking approach to ensure that each student receives a holistic, impactful experience. Rooted in the school's mission to foster intellectual, emotional, and moral growth, the leadership at Cathedral School creates an environment where both students and faculty are empowered to pursue excellence and embody values of integrity, empathy, and resilience. Through a balance of traditional values and innovative methodologies, Cathedral’s leaders are instrumental in shaping well-rounded individuals prepared for the challenges of the future, both academically and personally. This vision is reflected in the extensive co-curricular and experiential learning opportunities available to students, as well as in the strong culture of community, support, and inclusivity that characterizes the school.
Principal's Desk
The Cathedral and John Connon School is an institution that combines elements of academic excellence with a larger social sensitivity that is founded on the principles of honesty, integrity, and compassion. It is a place and a space where the teachers know the names as well as the stories of their students; where colleagues work in collaboration and camaraderie to bring out the best in the children entrusted to their care; and where each classroom fosters creativity, bonding, independence of thought, intellectual curiosity and academic rigour. I see it as an institution where a 162-year legacy coheres seamlessly with the innovations of the 21st century and where tradition meets modernity without disruption or fracture. It is where we teach our students how to understand and empower themselves with that which lies outside them – technology, information, communication, interaction, etc. – as well as with what lies within them – strength, resilience, integrity, and character.

In a world increasingly plagued by intolerance, insecurities, bitterness and violence, I believe our students stand out as proud and successful symbols of alternative narratives. As educators, it is our responsibility to endeavour to guide and mold our students into capable citizens of tomorrow –young men and women who live up to the highest standards of personal honour and who combine within themselves the qualities of both intellect and empathy, knowledge, and sensitivity, individuality and collaboration – for themselves, their communities, their country, and the world.
